Why Living in Las Sendas is an Excellent Place to Live

Las Sendas in Mesa, Arizona is a luxury, master-planned community with a strong commitment to integrating and showcasing the beauty of the surrounding Sonoran Desert. To this end, almost 36% of the total land area of 2,500 acres in Las Sendas is preserved as wholly natural or landscaped open spaces. When coupled with the nearby Tonto Natural Forest's miles of pathways, Las Sendas is the perfect place for those who love to get out and experience nature as often as they can.

While this commitment to preserving and incorporating nature into the community has help Las Sendas to be named one of the top five communities in the United State by the National Association of Home Builders Sales and Marketing Council for three consecutive years, it's the commitment to providing top quality homes surrounded by world-class amenities and an emphasis on fostering a strong community spirit that attracts people from all over the country and inspires them to put down roots in Las Sendas.

Living in Las Sendas

Las Sendas covers approximately 2,500 acres and is divided into small, gated enclaves within the larger community. Virtually every home site in Las Sendas either has a magnificent view of the city lights, mountains, golf course, and/or open desert. In order to preserve the views which are so essential to the lifestyle in Las Sendas, all homes are designed to blend in to the surrounding desert landscape and incorporate such features as low-reflective tile roofs, muted desert color exteriors and an overall character that incorporates desert elements.

Las Sendas has three maintained parks totaling 28 acres. These parks, the Boulder Mountain Parke, Sonoran Heights Parke, and the Desert Foothills Parke offer such recreational amenities as athletic courts, grass areas perfect for Frisbee, a picnic or just running barefoot, playgrounds and swing sets, barbecue pits and picnic areas, restrooms and walking and biking trails.

The Las Sendas trail system is extensive and connects the entire community together through a series of maintained paths. It's easy for residents to hop on one of the marked paths and walk to any part of the community including all recreation areas, the Village, the schools and even the neighboring Tonto National Forest.

For those who prefer a more luxurious setting for their rec time, there is the Trailhead Members Club. This 12,000 square foot multi-purpose facility is open to all residents. With its beautiful craftsmen architecture and banquet and conference rooms, it is the perfect place to host a party or event. It is also the home of the Trailheads Athletic Club and Spa.

For sports that require a course, there are several options. The Las Sendas Golf Course is an 18-hole, championship-level golf course designed by renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones II. This public course offers a challenging round of golf for all skill levels. Las Sendas also offers a championship level tennis courts in two separate locations within the community. There are several pools throughout the community with Boulder Mountain Facility being the largest and a smaller pool located at the Trailhead Athletic Club and Spa.

Elementary-aged school children in Las Sendas never have to leave the community when it comes time to go to school in the morning. In fact, it's fairly common to see children walking together in the morning and afternoons as they go to and from school. That's something that many parents truly enjoy. Once children in Las Sendas reach middle school and high school, they attend the Mesa Public School system. This system is routinely rated as one of the best in Arizona.

The Village at Las Sendas

The Village at Las Sendas is the community's commercial center and offers several options for fine dining, shopping and other services. It's a convenient place to grab a late dinner or have lunch with neighbors on the days and nights you would rather not crank the car and venture into Mesa, AZ.

Real Estate in Las Sendas

Las Sendas is home to many beautiful homes covering a variety of sizes and price points. While Las Sendas is known as a luxury community, and it certainly is, that does not mean that all homes here are in the million-dollar range. There are many homes here that begin in the $200,000, and yes, there are homes that can exceed $4 million. Fortunately, regardless of the home's size, it is located in one of the best communities in the United States, and that is something you cannot put a price on.
