Estrella is a master-planned community in the Phoenix suburb of Goodyear, AZ. Surrounded by the Sonoran Desert and adjacent to the Estrella Mountain Regional Park, the Estrella community is a welcome change from the congestion and fast-paced lifestyle of nearby Phoenix. Many residents even make note of how just the act of driving into Estrella after a long day of work in Phoenix imparts an almost Zen-like sense of peace as soon as they see the tree-lined streets and glistening waters of the neighborhood.

Living in Estrella, Arizona

Estrella boasts 72 acres of lakes. The South Lake offers the perfect place enjoying a barbecue, playing a game of volleyball or just lazing on the beach working on your tan. The North Lake is where residents and visitors head when they want to get out on the water. The Estrella Yacht Club offers kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating and sailing. Both lakes are fully stocked with fish.

Along with the two lakes, the Estrella community maintains an extensive network of parks and trails – many built by the residents. There are over 30 parks within the border of the community, and that is not including the adjacent Estrella Mountain Regional Park. For those who enjoy walking or cycling through nature – or just stretching their legs from time to time – there are over 20 miles of maintained paths that network through the community.

For those who enjoy hitting the links whenever they have a free morning or afternoon, the Golf Club of Estrella is right outside and within easy walking distance of anywhere within the community. This 18-hole, championship golf course built by Nicklaus Design is the perfect place to get in a round after work. You can also enjoy a post-round cocktail the onsite Player’s Grill.

Much of life in Estrella involves the Starpointe Residents Club in some form or fashion. The Starpointe is a shared living room for the entire community, and what a great living room. This 24,000 square feet multi-purpose facility has something for everyone including the StarSplash Water Park, heated lap pool, café, fitness and aerobics center, library and much more.  There’s no wonder that many residents choose to spend their free hours there.

The Mountain Ranch Marketplace is a 22-acre multi-use shopping and office space facility designed to provide for all the residents’ needs in one central location within the Estrella community. In the Mountain Ranch Marketplace, you can do your grocery shopping at the local Safeway, get your prescriptions filled at the Walgreens and get a haircut at the Great Clips. In addition to these recognizable chain stores, there are several locally-owned restaurants, retail outlets and service providers in the Marketplace.

Real Estate in Estrella

Estrella is divided into three communities: Mountain Ranch, Montecito and Canta Mia. Each of these communities has a distinct character and focus while retaining and exhibiting the core values of the Estrella community.

Mountain Ranch

Mountain Ranch is the traditional community within Estrella. It is where you will find the Starpointe Residents Club, the local elementary and middle schools and many of the shared amenities that make Estrella such a great place to live. Homes found in this community range in size and style with most being of the single-family variety in the Spanish Colonial, Ranch and Craftsman styles.

Montecito

Montecito is a community built for those who crave the “balanced” lifestyle and incorporates the surrounding desert landscape and wide-open green spaces. There are 18 planned parks, 300 acres of open space and a proposed 2-mile linear park. Homes for sale in this sector are of the traditional southwestern Spanish style.

Canta Mia

Canta Mia is an active-adult community for those 55 and older. It is located right alongside the Golf Club of Estrella and features a Village Center with indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and access to the lakes.
